Vahagn Grigoryan

Founder. Advisor. Lecturer. Dealmaker.

I work with founders, investors, and companies that want growth with substance.

My background sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship, fundraising, M&A, business strategy, and education. I have helped startups launch, refine their business models, raise capital, build partnerships, and think more clearly about where real value comes from.

I care about practical results. Not startup theater. Not empty jargon. Real businesses, real traction, real decisions.

About Me

Strategy that changes outcomes.

I am Vahagn Grigoryan, an entrepreneur, mentor, lecturer, and strategic adviser with a background in finance, business development, and startup growth. I hold an MBA and a PhD in Public Finance, and I have spent years working with founders and early-stage companies across fundraising, partnerships, business design, and strategic execution.

I do not believe every opportunity is good because it sounds exciting. I believe in disciplined judgment, asymmetric upside, sharp positioning, and execution that actually moves the business forward.

Good strategy is not theory. Good strategy changes outcomes.

Work With Me

03

How I Think

I am drawn to places where business, capital, and strategy collide.

I like businesses that solve real problems, founders who think independently, and opportunities where others see mess but there is hidden structure underneath.

What matters to me

  • Strong story + strong execution, not one without the other
  • Honest risk comparison against safer alternatives
  • Disciplined opportunity evaluation, not excitement-driven decisions
  • Narrative, trust, timing, and perception as strategic assets

A few things I believe

  • Business models matter more than hype
  • Capital does not fix weak strategy
  • Narrative changes outcomes
  • Many people confuse movement with progress
  • Serious thinking is a competitive advantage

Selected Work and Situations

Credibility through real situations, not just ideas.

I am most useful when the problem is important, a little messy, and commercially meaningful.

Situation 01

Built and led a platform supporting founders through practical growth opportunities, ecosystem partnerships, and startup support. The company later exited to Startup Science.

Situation 02

M&A and Transaction Work

Worked on acquisition situations where the hard part was strategic fit, value creation after the deal, integration risk, and buyer logic beyond what looked good on paper.

Situation 03

Fundraising and Founder Advisory

Teaching and Writing

Useful ideas, grounded in real situations.

I teach entrepreneurship and innovation with a practical lens. A good idea is not enough. You need structure, judgment, narrative, and the ability to face reality.
